Domestic Cleaning in Chiswick W4
Weekly cleaning at £22 per cleaner per hour and fortnightly at £24, with the same person each visit
Regular cleaning, priced by the hour
Weekly cleaning is £22 per cleaner per hour. Fortnightly is £24, which catches people out until they see the reason. A fortnight of dust takes longer to shift than a week of it, so the hourly rate reflects the harder visit. Minimum booking is three hours. A two bed flat in Turnham Green usually settles at three hours a week, and a four bed house in Grove Park at four hours with two cleaners.
Same cleaner every visit wherever the rota allows. That is worth more than any promise about products, because a cleaner who has been in your kitchen eleven times knows which cupboard the cloths live in and which shelf your partner does not want touched. When someone is ill or on holiday we send a replacement and tell you in advance rather than surprising you at the door.
Chiswick throws up two practical wrinkles. Parking rules change street by street, with the Chiswick Station zone controlled from 10am to noon and Chiswick Mall running 9am to 5pm, so we agree an arrival time that keeps the car legal and the visit uninterrupted. And the water here is hard, around 300 ppm from Thames Water, which means kettles, shower screens and taps need descaling on a rota rather than a wipe. We build that into the visit every third or fourth week instead of letting it pile up.
How it works
- Same cleaner each visit, named before you start
- Three hour minimum, weekly or fortnightly
- We bring products and equipment, or use yours if you prefer
- Key held securely, or a key safe if you would rather
- Cleaners are vetted and the work is insured
- Change or pause the booking with 48 hours notice
A standard visit covers
- Kitchen surfaces, hob, sink and appliance fronts
- Bathroom cleaned and descaled
- Dusting, including skirtings and sills on a rotation
- Vacuum through and floors mopped
- Beds changed if the linen is left out
- Internal glass on doors and mirrors
Getting started
A short conversation about the house
How many rooms, how many bathrooms, whether there are pets, and the two or three things that matter most to you. Most people have one job they want done properly every time and everything else is negotiable.
We set the hours honestly
If three hours is not enough for what you have described, we say so rather than taking the booking and doing half a job. Better to agree four hours once than to disappoint every week.
First visit takes longer
The first clean of a house is always the heaviest, and some people book a deep clean before starting a weekly rota so the cleaner begins from a decent baseline.
Then it settles
After three or four visits the routine finds its own shape. Tell us what to change and we change it, without anybody taking offence.

Questions about regular cleaning
Do I have to be home?
No. Most of our regular clients are at work. We hold a key or use a key safe, and the cleaner texts when the visit is finished.
Why is fortnightly more per hour than weekly?
Two weeks of dust, limescale and kitchen grease takes more effort per hour than one week does, and the visit is physically harder work. Weekly clients get the lower rate because the house never gets far from where it was left.
Can I ask for particular products?
Yes. Some households want fragrance free, some have a stone worktop that hates anything acidic, and some just prefer their own brands. Leave them out and we will use them.
What about ironing and laundry?
Ironing can be part of the hours if you want it, though it eats time quickly. Two hours of ironing is two hours not spent on the bathroom, so we would rather agree that up front.
How do I cancel or pause?
48 hours notice and there is nothing to pay. Later than that and the cleaner has already lost the slot, so we charge for the visit. Holidays booked in advance are free to skip.
