The South Acton Estate zone is controlled Monday to Friday from 9am to 10am and again from 2pm to 3pm, two separate hour-long windows, while the industrial streets around Bollo Lane run straight through from 8am to 6pm. A crew that plans for one set of hours gets a ticket under the other. We check both before the van moves, and the streets between Acton Green and Bollo Lane straddle the W3 and W4 boundary anyway, so the postcode on the tenancy agreement is not a reliable guide.

Do new-build flats really need a full end of tenancy clean?
Yes, and the inspections are often stricter than in period property because the benchmark photographs show a flat nobody had lived in. Grout in a two year old shower stains, extractor filters clog, and the rubber seal on a washing machine grows mould whatever the age of the building.
How much notice do you need?
Two or three days is comfortable. Same-week bookings are usually possible, and end of month Fridays fill first because that is when tenancies end.
Do you clean communal areas or bin stores?
No. Those belong to the block’s managing agent and their own contractor, and we would rather say that plainly than take money for a job that is not ours to do.
